What makes Galaxy different
Samsung's curved Dynamic AMOLED panels (the "Ultra" line) are the most expensive mainstream phone screens to replace — the part is dearer and the curved-glass removal is unforgiving, so labour is higher too. A flat-screen Galaxy S or A model is much closer to iPhone pricing.
Folding phones (Z Fold, Z Flip) are a category of their own. The inner folding display is the single priciest component in consumer phones, and a hinge or inner-screen failure can cost more than half the phone's value. We flag this clearly on those model pages so there are no surprises.
