The S24 screen is one of the cheapest Samsung S-series screen replacements — same 6.2" flat Dynamic AMOLED 2X as the S23 and S25 but with two years of aftermarket supply driving prices down. Genuine Samsung service-pack panels are available through all major AU parts suppliers.
Common issues
After two years of bench experience, these are the failures we see most often on this generation.
Cracked display (6.2" flat AMOLED — corner impacts remain the primary failure)
Early battery degradation starting to show on heavy-use units (85–90% health typical at 2 years)
USB-C port wear / intermittent charging
Under-display fingerprint sensor calibration issues after budget screen swaps
DIY note
The S24 is one of the more approachable Samsung flagships to DIY — flat 6.2" display, aluminium frame, standard pry-and-heat, two years of community teardown guides. The under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor still requires careful handling, and budget aftermarket panels may break it entirely. Quality aftermarket S24 panels have a strong 2026 track record — ask for OEM-equivalent or service-pack tier. For more on screen quality tiers, see our screen quality guide.
