This page explains what data RepairRange collects, why, and what you can do about it. We've tried to write it in plain English. If something's unclear, email hello@repairrange.com.
When you browse: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We use these for security and traffic analysis. Logs are retained for 30 days then deleted.
Analytics: we use a privacy-respecting analytics provider that doesn't set cross-site cookies or collect personally identifying information.
When you submit a quote form: your name, contact details, location, phone model, and description of the issue. This is forwarded to the matched local repair shop and stored by us for 12 months to support follow-up.
When you email us: whatever you put in the email. Retained until the conversation is resolved.
We don't collect payment information (we don't sell anything directly). We don't track you across other websites. We don't sell or share your contact details with anyone except the specific repair shop you've been matched with.
Affiliate retailers (Amazon, etc): when you click an affiliate link, the destination site may set its own cookies. We don't control those.
Hosting: the site is hosted on GitLab Pages, which keeps its own access logs.
Display advertising: if and when we add advertising, we'll update this policy with the provider and what they collect, before enabling it.
You can request a copy of any data we hold about you, request that we delete it, or correct inaccuracies. Email hello@repairrange.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you're in the EU or UK, you also have rights under GDPR. If you're in California, you have rights under the CCPA. We honour both regardless of where you're contacting us from.
This site uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies (for example, to remember if you've dismissed a banner). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
If we change anything material, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, post a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days.
