About
RepairRange is run by working phone repair technicians who got tired of telling customers "ignore the $89 screen repair ads — that's not what it costs."
Why this exists
Repair pricing on the open web is broken in three ways. Manufacturer service pages give you a "from $X" price that's only true for one part of one issue. Affiliate blogs publish made-up numbers to rank for "iPhone screen repair cost." And local shops won't tell you a price until you walk in the door.
RepairRange is what happens when working techs publish the numbers everyone wants to know: the real range, the real difference between authorised and independent, and the honest take on whether to fix or replace.
How we make money
Three sources, all disclosed:
Affiliate links to repair tools and parts. If you click through to Amazon or another retailer from our DIY guides and buy something, we earn a small commission. Your price isn't affected. We only recommend tools we'd use ourselves.
Lead-gen forms for repair shops. When you request a quote, we match you with a verified local shop. Shops pay a small fee per lead. Shops do not pay to be listed and cannot pay for better placement.
Display advertising. Some pages carry display ads. Ads are clearly marked and never influence editorial content.
What we won't do
Publish a single price for a repair that has a real range. The range is the point.
Recommend a part or tool we haven't used. Affiliate disclosure cuts both ways — we only link to gear that's actually good.
Sell your contact details. Lead-gen forms route to one matched shop, full stop. No lists, no resale.
Talk down DIY when DIY makes sense. Some repairs are easier than people think; some are much harder than YouTube suggests.
