Ranges reflect 2026 surveyed AU metro pricing. "Independent" assumes a reputable shop using OEM-grade or high-quality aftermarket parts — budget kiosks advertise lower with lesser panels. "Authorised" is the official Apple service price. "DIY" includes the part, the right tools, and a realistic buffer for a second attempt. The iPhone 15 series uses USB-C — port repair parts differ from older Lightning models.
Common issues
After thousands of repairs, these are the failures we see most often on this model. Use the troubleshooting library for symptom-by-symptom diagnostics.
Cracked screen (large 6.7" panel, common drop fault)
USB-C port wear / intermittent charging or data
Battery degradation on early-batch units
DIY note
The 14-gen back-glass-first chassis carries through to the 15, making battery and rear-glass DIY more approachable than older models. The large OLED is still fragile during removal, and Face ID sensors must be transferred to the new screen — mishandle them and Face ID is permanently disabled. USB-C port parts are different from Lightning — confirm part type before ordering.
